Information Post

There are hundreds of different types of shots. You can do a candid shot, which is most paparazzi because it is a photograph taken without the person permission or knowledge. There is the wide shot, which is where the person is in the middle with space on both sides of them. These are more common for people because they like when things are around them but they are the main focus in the picture. Sometimes, you don’t really want someone to be smiling in the picture. You want to capture them in their moment, what they are doing without telling them to look at you. http://limewedge.net/wp-POVcontent/uploads/2011/03/Portrait-photography-3.jpg

People often want pictures took of them with their family. These pictures are called group pictures, and when you go to a photographer you must tell them what you would like. If you aren’t sure the kind of shot you would like, then you might want to get some knowledge on types of shots. There are also action shots, which capture people moving. You see those a lot in the paper, in the sports section. An ECU is an extreme close up, I personally do not like these pictures but some people do enjoy them. A noddy shot is a picture of the interviewer reacting to something the person getting interviewed is saying. A POV shot is a shot that shows a view of the person’s objective.

An over the shoulder shot is exactly what it says, it shows the back of one person, the side of their head, and their shoulder with another person in the background.

Anyone can take a picture of a person, but when you capture their soul in the picture it changes all meaning of that. It makes the picture speak and you feel like an amazing photographer. It's one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it's another thing to make a portrait of who they are. - Paul Caponigro This says exactly what I believe , because when you take a picture; anyone can take a picture of something, it takes a real photographer to capture the personality of the person.
