The Body in Motion is a contest where you can win up to $300 if your photo is chosen as the winner. You must be eighteen; color and black and white images are accepted. This contest is not over until June 1st, 2012, the sponsor is
Profotio.com. The first place winner gets $300, the second place winner gets $200, and the third place gets $100 and then there are three honorable mentions but they do not win any cash prizes. It is an online contest so people from all over the world can enter which definitely makes for a more interesting competition.

The body is constantly in motion, we are never completely still. However, if you can capture this in a picture that is amazing because of how difficult it is to capture it at exactly the right time. As Vincent Versace says
A still photograph is called a still photograph because the picture doesn’t move, not because the objects in the picture are not in motion. The photographer's mission, should he decide to accept it, is to capture motion with stillness.
This competition is big, because it's worldwide. Imagine competing with everyone around the world; or how hard it will be to pick a winner. Pictures of people doing something while moving is so hard because you don't want to capture a big blur.
